We are excited to share that Figurement has received funding from byFounders together with a group of experienced angel investors. This marks a major milestone in our journey to build the first collaborative 3D rendering platform for industrial design teams.
A new generation of 3D rendering
Almost every object around us begins its life as a 3D model. The screen you are reading this on, the chair you sit in, and the pen on your desk all went through countless digital iterations before a single physical prototype was made. These renderings guide decisions across design, engineering, and marketing, often through hundreds of updates and review cycles.
Despite this deeply collaborative nature, most 3D visualization still happens in single user desktop tools. Teams share screenshots, export images, or pass large files back and forth. This slows down the creative process and makes it difficult to stay aligned.
Figurement changes that. We are creating a platform that allows multiple users to work together on the same 3D scene directly in the browser, with instant feedback and shared material libraries. Our goal is to make photoreal rendering collaborative, accessible, and fast for design teams everywhere.
A partnership with byFounders
byFounders has a strong track record of supporting ambitious Nordic companies that build the next wave of creative and collaborative tools. Their partnership and experience will help us accelerate development and bring Figurement to design teams around the world.
We are also joined by several angel investors with backgrounds from Google, DeepMind, Meta Reality Labs, and CrowdStrike. Their insight into scaling technology and deep expertise in graphics, AI, and web infrastructure will help strengthen our foundation as we move forward.
Building the team and the product
Figurement was founded by Jesper Bjerg Mosegaard and Søren Skovsbøll, combining more than two decades of experience in 3D graphics, rendering, and web technologies. Our backgrounds include work at companies such as KeyShot, Microsoft, and CrowdStrike, and collaborations with brands like Apple, SpaceX, and LEGO.
We are now focused on expanding the team, improving our rendering engine, and refining the collaborative workflow that makes Figurement unique. Our browser based approach already allows designers to import CAD models, adjust materials and lighting, and share their work instantly with teammates and clients.
Looking ahead
The investment from byFounders and our angel group enables us to grow faster and continue shaping a new way for teams to collaborate on product visuals. We believe that design is a shared process, and the tools for visual communication should reflect that. This round gives us the resources to continue building the platform that turns that belief into reality.
